Medical lasers use focused light. A Pico Laser Program should therefore be discussed by the actual concern, skin type, pigment depth, area, exact device and wavelength—not by the word ‘pico’ alone. FDA patient guidance notes possible risks including incomplete treatment, pain, infection, bleeding, scarring and skin-colour change. Suitability, settings, session plan and aftercare require clinical assessment.
